Nephroia Loureiro. Tribe: Tiliacoreae. Coralbeads, Snailseed.

Key to Nephroia

A genus of 3 species, lianas, of temperate and subtropical e. North America (including Mexico) and e. Asia. Lian et al. (2020) show that Cocculus as previously circumscribed is polyphyletic, and the two North American species are grouped with an Asian species, in a resurrected genus Nephroia. The newly circumscribed genera are morphologically distinctive as well.
