Sanguisorba Linnaeus. Subfamily: Rosoideae. Tribe: Sanguisorbeae. Subtribe: Sanguisorbinae. Common name: Burnet.

A genus of 15 or more species, herbs, of Eurasia, n. Africa, and North America, as here circumscribed to exclude Poterium and Poteridium.
