not marked as a favorite taxon Serenoa Hooker f.. Common name: Saw Palmetto.

A monotypic genus, a shrub, endemic to the se. United States. Serenoa is closely related to Acoelorraphe, of the West Indies, including s. FL (Zona in FNA 2000).
