Capparaceae A.L. de Jussieu. Caper Family.
A family of about 28 genera and about 650 species, shrubs, trees, and less typically lianas, mainly tropical and subtropical. Christenhusz, Fay, & Byng (2018) propose including all New World members of the family Capparaceae in a single genus, Morisonia; we do not follow that course, which is strongly rebutted by Cornejo (2019).
