*Visnaga daucoides Gaertner. Common name: Bisnaga, Toothpick-plant. Phenology: May-Jun. Habitat: On ballast, presumably just a waif. Distribution: Native of Mediterranean Europe. In our region, known from Philadelphia (PA), Wilmington (NC), Pensacola (FL), and Mobile (AL).

Origin/Endemic status: Mediterranean Europe and Africa
