Eleocharis elegans (Kunth) Roemer & J.A. Schultes. Subgenus: Eleocharis. Section: Eleocharis. Series: Eleocharis. Common name: Elegant Spikerush, Cebolleta de Pantano, Junco. Phenology: Mar-Nov. Habitat: Swamp forests, pastures, stream beds. Distribution: Peninsular FL (Hardee and Hillsborough counties); West Indies; Mexico and Central America south to South America.
