Perideridia americana (Nuttall ex A.P. de Candolle) Reichenbach. Common name: Eastern Yampah. Phenology: Apr-Jul. Habitat: Floodplains, oak savannas, prairies, rocky woodlands, dolomite glades, shale barrens, and open woodlands, usually on limestone but less typically on sandstone. Distribution: OH, IN, IL, IA, and KS south to ne. AL, nw. AL, wc. MS, n. AR, and OK.
