*Galinsogeopsis species 1 var. 1. Phenology: Jan-Dec. Habitat: Disturbed areas, in sandy loams in the lower Rio Grande Valley. Distribution: Native of s. AZ and Mexico; naturalized as a weed in s. TX and ne. Mexico.
Origin/Endemic status: W. North America
Taxonomy Comments: It appears that a new combination is needed in Galinsogeopsis, based on Perityle microglossa Bentham, which has priority over the epithet 'spilanthoides'.
