Juncus greenei Oakes & Tuckerman. Subgenus: Agathryon. Section: Steirochloa. Common name: Greene’s Rush. Phenology: Jun-Jul. Habitat: Pine barrens, other dry, open sandy sites. Distribution: NB west to MN, south to s. NJ, n. OH, n. IN, n. IL, and IA.
ID notes: Much like J. dichotomus but capsules with truncate apices and larger seeds.
