Pyrrhopappus pauciflorus (D. Don) A.P. de Candolle. Common name: Small-flowered Desert-Chicory. Phenology: (Feb.) Apr-May. Habitat: Calcareous prairies. Distribution: AR, OK, NM, and AZ, south to w. LA, TX, and Mexico (AGU, CHH, COA, DUR, GUA, JAL, MEX, NLE, PUE, ROO, SLP, SIN, SON, TAM, ZAC); also adventive eastwards.

Origin/Endemic status: Native
