Citharexylum spathulatum Moldenke & Lundell. Common name: Mission Fiddlewood. Phenology: Apr-Jun. Habitat: Chaparral. Distribution: S. TX (Hidalgo and Starr counties), south into Mexico (CHIH, NLE, QRO, SLP, TAMS, ZAC).

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Synonymy : = Mex, Tx; < Citharexylum brachyanthum (A.Gray ex Hemsl.) A.Gray — K4, Mex. Basionym: Citharexylum spathulatum Moldenke & Lundell 1942
