*Sixalix Rafinesque.

A genus of about 8 species, herbs (mainly biennial), of Mediterranean Europe, n. Africa, and w. Asia. Often included in Scabiosa, but supported as a genus based on the phylogenetic analyses of Carlson, Mayer, & Donoghue (2009).no references.
