Strombocarpa (Bentham) Engelmann & A. Gray. Screwbean.
A genus of about 10 species, shrubs and small trees, of sc. and sw. US south to Mexico, and South America (sc. Peru south to Argentina and Chile). This group of species was traditionally usually included in Prosopis. The circumscription of the genus follows Hughes et al. (2022a).
