Sphenopholis interrupta (Buckley) Lamson-Scribner. Common name: Prairie False Oats. Phenology: Apr-May. Habitat: Grasslands, disturbed areas, eastwards in disturbed areas and along railroad tracks, also waste areas near wool-combing mills. Distribution: OK, CO and AZ south to w. LA (where uncertainly native) TX, NM, and Mexico (BCN, NLE, SON).
