not marked as a favorite taxon Asplenium erosum Linnaeus var. erosum. Common name: Eared Spleenwort. Phenology: Jan-Dec. Habitat: Epiphytic in hammocks, strand swamps, especially on Quercus virginiana, Fraxinus cubensis, and Annona glabra. Distribution: Florida peninsula (north to Flagler County); West Indies; Mexico (Chiapas, Hidalgo, Oaxaca, Puebla, Querétaro, San Luis Potosí, Tabasco, Veracruz) south through Central America to South America; w. Africa.
