Glossary (beta!)

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Taxonomy Comments: Ward (2012a) recognized var. arborescens, which "extends north along both coasts and [sic] onto the panhandle; its leaves are silvery-pubescent. On the Keys, Small's B. glabrata is of limited distribution, usually sympatric with the typical form, but readily distinguishable by its green, glabrous leaves". We regard these as likely merely forms.
