Croptilon hookerianum (Torrey & A. Gray) House var. validum (Rydberg) E.B. Smith. Common name: Hooker's True Scratch-daisy. Phenology: (Jun-) Jul-Oct. Habitat: Rock outcrops, sandy areas. Distribution: KS and AR south through OK to c. TX. Found in MS by John Kees.
