Palafoxia sphacelata (Nuttall ex Torrey) Cory. Common name: Rayed Palafox. Phenology: May-Nov. Habitat: Sandy prairies. Distribution: NE and CO south to nc. TX, trans-Pecos TX, NM, and Mexico (CHH, COA, DGO, SON), barely entering our area.
