not marked as a favorite taxon Palafoxia texana A.P. de Candolle var. texana. Common name: Tamaulipan Palafox. Phenology: Mar-Nov. Habitat: Rocky or gravelly calcareous soils in thornscrub. Distribution: Tamaulipan Plains area of s. TX (barely entering our area), south and west to TAM, NLE, COA, and CHI.
