Symphyotrichum parviceps (Burgess) Nesom. Common name: Small-headed Aster. Phenology: Aug-Nov. Habitat: Upland prairie, woodlands, dry areas. Distribution: IL and IA south to MO, KS, and ne. OK (reported but not verified for AR).
