Hechtia glomerata Zuccarini. Common name: Guapilla. Phenology: May-Aug. Habitat: In xeric, upland, often saline thornscrub, on gravels, clays, and sands (typically derived from the Jackson or Claiborne Groups). Distribution: S. Texas south to Guatemala.
