Clusia rosea Jacquin. Pitch-apple, Balsam-apple, Autograph-tree. Phen: Jan-Dec. Hab: Maritime hammocks, rockland hammocks, coastal berms, disturbed areas, also widely cultivated. Dist: S. FL; West Indies; Mexico (CAM, CHP, GRO, MIC, ROO, VER) south through Central America to South America. Extirpated as a native, but now rare to uncommon as escapees in urban areas.
