Tectaria heracleifolia (Willdenow) L. Underwood. Common name: Broad Halberd Fern. Phenology: Jan-Dec. Habitat: On limestone in mesic tropical and subtropical hammocks, moist disturbed areas. Distribution: FL peninsula; West Indies; C. TX and barely extending to e. TX, Mexico, Central America, and South America.
