Heuchera tuckasegeensis Pantinople. Common name: Tuckasegee Grotto Alumroot. Phenology: Jun-Oct; Jul-Oct. Habitat: Rockhouses behind waterfalls, shaded areas, rock outcrops, crevices, and ledges on cliffs, on highly acidic gneiss. Distribution: Apparently endemic to Jackson County, NC (Pantinople, Engle-Wrye, & Folk 2024).
