Swietenia mahagoni (Linnaeus) Jacquin. Common name: West Indian Mahogany, Madeira-Redwood. Phenology: Apr-Jul; Nov-Jan. Habitat: Tropical hammocks, adjacent disturbed areas, also extensively planted. Distribution: S. FL; West Indies.

Other Comments: A very valuable timber tree, abundant in the FL Keys and s. mainland of FL.
