Chloris andropogonoides E. Fournier. Common name: Slimspike Windmill-grass. Phenology: May-Nov. Habitat: Prairies, brush, especially on clay soils; eastwards in lawns, pastures, roadsides. Distribution: C. and s. TX south into Mexico (CHH, COA, NLE, SLP, TAM).

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Synonymy : = ETx1, FNA25, K4, Mex, NS, POWO, Tx; > Chloris tenuispica Nash — S13. Basionym: Chloris andropogonoides E.Fourn. 1886
