Poa interior Rydberg. Common name: Inland Bluegrass. Phenology: May-Jun. Habitat: Sandstone ledges, upland prairies. Distribution: QC and AK south to VT, NY, MI, WI, MO, NE, w. TX, NM, and WA. There is only minimal documentation of this species within our flora region. Apparently only one collection has been made in s. IL in Jackson County in 1965 (R.H. Mohlenbrock 14107), but it has not been recorded in the state since the 1980's and may be extirpated (P. Marcum, pers. comm., 2022).
