Sideroxylon lanuginosum Michaux ssp. rigidum (A. Gray) T.D. Pennington. Common name: Edwards Plateau Bully, Chittimwood. Phenology: Apr-Jun. Habitat: On limestone or gypsum, especially along river bluffs. Distribution: C. and nc. TX (especially Edwards Plateau) west to se. AZ and south into Mexico.
