Hosta

not marked as a favorite taxon *Hosta ventricosa (Salisbury) Stearn. Common name: Blue Plantain-lily. Phenology: Jun-Jul. Habitat: Widely planted as a shade ornamental and occasionally escaping in disturbed areas. Distribution: Native of China; rarely escaping throughout the northeastern portion of our area southward and westward to AR and NC, also reported for AL by Diamond (2014).
