*Aptenia cordifolia (Linnaeus f.) Schwantes. Common name: Baby Sunrose, Heartleaf Iceplant. Phenology: Apr-Oct. Habitat: Dry disturbed areas. Distribution: Native of Africa.

Origin/Endemic status: Subsaharan Africa

Other Comments: The St. Lucie county specimens all appear to be from cultivated plants.

Synonymy : = Fl5, FNA4, K4, NS; Mesembryanthemum cordifolium L. — POWO, (basionym)
