not marked as a favorite taxon Alisma gramineum Lejeune. Common name: Grassleaf Water-plantain. Phenology: Jun-Aug (-Sep). Habitat: In seasonally flooded areas in impoundments. Distribution: This species is circumboreal, ranging in North America south to e. VA, NY, WI, s. MO, NM, and CA.

Other Comments: The occurrence of this species in our area may be the result of sporadic dispersal by waterfowl; first reported for VA by Wieboldt et al. (1998).
