Allium mobilense Regel. Common name: Mobile Onion. Phenology: Mid Apr-May; Late May-Jun. Habitat: Dry woodlands, prairie. Distribution: C. NC south to ne. FL and Panhandle FL, west to TX.

Taxonomy Comments: This taxon is better treated as a species distinct from Allium canadense. The nomenclature and taxonomy within Allium mobilense needs additional research. It appears that the name Allium mutabile Michaux applies to a form of Allium canadense s.s.
