Amaranthus hybridus Linnaeus ssp. hybridus. Common name: Smooth Amaranth, Slim Amaranth, Green Amaranth, Smooth Pigweed. Phenology: Jul-Oct. Habitat: Disturbed areas. Distribution: Original distribution obscure because of its very weedy nature, but apparently native in eastern North America.
