not marked as a favorite taxon *Amaranthus hypochondriacus Linnaeus. Common name: Prince's-feather. Phenology: Jul-Oct. Habitat: Disturbed areas. Distribution: Native of tropical America. The type locality is "Virginia", where apparently early introduced.
