*Hedera hibernica (G. Kirchner) Bean. Common name: Atlantic Ivy, Irish Ivy. Phenology: Jun-Jul. Habitat: Persistent, established, and spreading around old home sites, in suburban woodlands and waste areas. Distribution: Native of Europe.

Taxonomy Comments: H. hibernica is tetraploid, n = 48. This species was apparently widely planted later than H. helix.
