Bidens trichosperma (Michaux) Britton. Common name: Northern Tickseed-sunflower. Phenology: Aug-Oct. Habitat: Tidal marsh, other marsh. Distribution: QC, MN, and SD south to ne. FL, GA, LA, and NE. Reports from the deep South are mostly or entirely based on misidentifications of B. mitis.
