Habitat: Pastures and disturbed areas; in waste areas around wool-combing mill, ballast waif. Distribution: Native of n. Africa and w. Asia. Scattered occurrences in e. North America, including old ballast collections (FNA). Reported for SC by Nesom (2004d).
