*Chrysanthemum indicum Linnaeus. Common name: Garden Chrysanthemum. Phenology: Sep-Nov Habitat: Cultivated as an ornamental, persistent or perhaps naturalized at widely scattered locations. Distribution: Native of e. and se. Asia.

Origin/Endemic status: E. and se. Asia

Taxonomy Comments: Qi et al. (2022) studied the complex derivation of the cultivated Chrysanthemum, which appears to involve several species. The appropriate taxonomy and name to apply to our cultivated plants remains unclear.
