Chrysopsis subulata Small. Common name: Scrub Golden-aster. Phenology: Jun-Jul. Habitat: Longleaf pine flatwoods, Florida scrubby flatwoods. Distribution: N. FL peninsula to s. FL.

ID notes: Distinctive in its flexible, subulate, recurved phyllaries.
