Coreopsis nuecensoides E.B. Smith. Common name: Rio Grande Tickseed. Phenology: Mar-May. Habitat: Sandy soils of post oak and oak-mesquite woodlands. Distribution: E., se., and s. TX.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: Some authors consider this name to be synonymous with C. nuecensis; the material named as such differing in its glabrous phyllaries. Further taxonomic research is warranted.
