*Artemisia abrotanum Linnaeus. Common name: Southernwood, Lad’s Love, Old Man, Southern Wormwood. Phenology: Aug-Sep. Habitat: Disturbed areas, waif from horticultural use. Distribution: Native of Mediterranean Europe. Reported as a waif in e. VA (Reed 1964).

Origin/Endemic status: Mediterranean Europe and Africa
