Arabidopsis lyrata (Linnaeus) O'Kane & Al-Shehbaz ssp. lyrata. Common name: Lyreleaf Rockcress, Dwarf Rockcress, Sandcress. Phenology: Mar-Jun; Apr-Sep. Habitat: Rock crevices in or thin soil around calcareous or mafic rock outcrops. Distribution: The species is widespread in n. North America and e. Asia, south in e. North America to NC, e. TN, and n. GA; ssp. lyrata is strictly North American, from NY west to AK, south to NC, GA (?), TN, MS, MB, SK, AB, and BC. The GA record is an old and indefinite collection ("northern Georgia") by Vasey.

Taxonomy Comments: Other subspecies (ssp. petraea and ssp. kamchatica) are restricted to nw. North America and ne. Asia (see Al-Shehbaz 2010a).
