Pyrularia Michaux. Common name: Buffalo-nut.

A genus of 5 species, hemiparasitic shrubs, of e. North America and e. Asia (the other 4 species are of e. Asia). Pyrularia is placed in the segregate family Cervantesiaceae by Nickrent et al. (2010), but is sometimes treated in a more broadly-conceived Santalaceae.
