*Gibasis pellucida (M. Martens & Galeotti) D.R. Hunt. Common name: Dotted Bridalveil, Tahitian Bridalveil. Phenology: Apr-Oct. Habitat: Disturbed areas, invasive in peninsular FL and beginning to be seen establishing elsewhere in the deep South, as in Houston County, AL (Barger et al. 2023). Distribution: Native of Mexico (contrary to one of the common names).
