Taxonomy Comments: Horticulturally-derived hybrid of a tropical American (I. quamoclit) and Southeastern US (I. coccinea) parents. Austin (2023m) made a distinction between diploid Ipomoea ×multifida and the tetraploid derived from it, Ipomoea sloteri. We combine the two under the older name.
