not marked as a favorite taxon *Ipomoea muricata (Linnaeus) Jacquin. Common name: Lilacbell, Purple Moonflower. Phenology: Jun-Nov. Habitat: Fields, disturbed areas; native (apparently) of Mexico. Distribution: Austin & Jansson (1988) discussed the species’ spread in se. United States, apparently as a contaminant in soybean seeds.
