not marked as a favorite taxon Carex leavenworthii Dewey. Common name: Leavenworth’s Sedge. Phenology: May-Jun. Habitat: Dry forests, especially in sandy soils. Distribution: NY, ON, and NE south to Panhandle FL and TX. Reported for DE (Longbottom, Naczi, & Knapp 2016), and considered "likely non-native" there.
