not marked as a favorite taxon Carex retrorsa Schweinitz. Phenology: May-Aug. Habitat: Bottomland forests and nutrient-rich moist forests. Distribution: NB and BC, south to n. NJ, sc. PA, IL, UT; reported, apparently erroneously, for DE and MD.
