Carex straminea Willdenow ex Schkuhr. Common name: Straw Sedge. Phenology: May-Jun. Habitat: Pools in river scours, fresh tidal and nontidal marshes, other wetlands, wet oak savannas. Distribution: MA west to WI, south to NC, KY, and MO.
