not marked as a favorite taxon Carex tenera Dewey. Common name: Slender Sedge, Quill Sedge. Phenology: May-Jul. Habitat: Low forests, upland forests over hardpans, mesic prairies, wet ditches. Distribution: NS west to BC, south to MD, WV, s. OH, s. IN, s. IL, SD, n. NM, ID, and WA. Confusion in reporting of past records has obscured the distribution.
